Česká zbrojovka, or "Czech Armory," traces its roots to 1936 when it was established in Uherský Brod as a branch of Česká zbrojovka Strakonice. Production began in 1937 with a focus on military and civilian arms, including aircraft machine guns and pistols. Unfortunately, during WWII, the plant was occupied by Nazi forces and forced to produce military arms. After the war, the company resumed production of both military and civilian firearms, and in 1950, it became a state enterprise named Přesné strojírenství Uherský Brod. In the 1970s and 1980s, the company expanded into other industries, merging with Agrozet Brno to produce not only firearms but also components for aircraft engines and tractor attachments.
